Community Groups and/or Citizens who would like to host a public event in the City of Williston are required to submit a Special Event Application to the Customer Service Department no later than 30 days prior to the event for processing. If the event is held on public property, a Certificate of Insurance for the event, naming the City of Williston as additional insured, must be attached to the application with a minimum liability limit of $1,000,000. Upon review, City officials may require additional stipulations to be met prior to approval. Events involving large numbers of participants may require compensated police, fire and utility related services. Sponsors of events that require lane or road closure must also submit a Temporary Road Closure Permit with the application package. Sponsors of events that utilize any City park location will require submission of a Park Deposit and Use Agreement.
