City Clerk

The City of Williston, a Mayor/Council municipality, population 2,768, located in Levy County, Florida, is seeking a highly motivated, qualified individual to fill the position of City Clerk.

Duties include: preparation of agendas and minutes of the City Council meetings, attendance at evening meetings, legal advertising; custody of municipal records; maintenance of city ordinances and resolutions; administration of city elections and other duties as assigned. City Clerk reports to City Council.

The qualified applicant should possess a minimum four-year degree in public administration, or other related fields. Experience may substitute for education. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe DC, Excel, PowerPoint, information management software and government accounting principles. Three to five years of relevant government experience and Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred.

Salary: $42,000 or higher depending on qualifications.
